Remote alcohol monitoring is becoming an important tool in family law, particularly in custody and visitation cases involving alcohol use. This CLE program will explore how courts and legal professionals can use monitoring technology to promote child safety, ensure accountability, and support recovery, while reducing conflict and increasing transparency in high-conflict cases.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to identify common challenges in alcohol-related custody matters, understand best practices for remote monitoring, and recognize key legal considerations such as admissibility, data integrity, and privacy. Attendees will also gain insight into how structured monitoring can improve compliance and support more stable, long-term family outcomes.

Meet the Speakers

  • Moderator: Maris Weiner, Esq. – Experienced family law attorney bringing practitioner insights into the use of investigators in custody and matrimonial cases.
This course is approved for 1 CLE credit by PACLE.
